Fellowship, learning, laughter, food, music, nature, rocking chairs, cool breezes….  an uplifting, educational, musical, memorable, laid-back, fun gathering of Unity friends from the southeast and beyond. Blue Ridge mountain Kanuga Conference Center recently renovated 62-room Inn and historic cabins in the woods.

The daily schedule is packed with interaction and activity. Of course, you can chose just how much you want to plug in to. There’s plenty of open, quiet space for you to chill and commune with nature connect with old and new friends, take a nap, or drive into town to enjoy the quaint hospitality of Hendersonville and Flat Rock.

Enjoy a wide variety of workshops offered by ministers from the Unity Ministers of the Mid-Atlantic States (UMMAS), as well as inspiring sessions with our keynote speaker and featured musician, Christy Snow.

Inspiring, original music will fill the air and your hearts… including…our very own Unity musicians and our fabulous “Spirit Sharing” Talent Show, and our second annual Retreat Choir

Children are welcome, but we do not currently provide a children’s program.

Still your mind with Vespers in the quiet beauty of the Chapel… then drift off to dreamland in cool mountain air… or visit and laugh with your new friends.

Massages & Bodywork by local professionals will be available for a separate love offering that you give to the body-worker. Please indicate on your registration form that you plan to treat yourself to bodywork, so we can plan times and availability.

 The experience begins with dinner on Tuesday evening and lasts until Noon Friday. Fees include: 8 meals (3 dinners, 2 lunches, 3 breakfasts), 3 nights lodging, and all workshops and programs. Registration Form

Group cabins can house a delegation from your Unity Center. Consider this as a way to bond with your local community!

 _52562_origKanuga Conference Center in scenic Western North Carolina ~ on 1,400 acres, six miles from Hendersonville at 2300′ altitude.  A beautiful facility in a peaceful, wooded setting, with a friendly staff. Outdoor labyrinth, easy and challenging hiking, outdoor exercise trails, tennis, playing fields, scenic lake with canoes & rowboats available at no charge, fishing ,swimming, and a gymnasium.  (Project Adventure Ropes Course, 52-foot climbing tower, indoor climbing wall may be available for an additional charge.)

Enjoy delicious food at the breakfast buffet and family-style lunches & dinners.

Accommodations include the new updated and fabulously air-conditioned 62-room Inn (2 double beds, private bathroom), and 46 two- to six-bedroom cottages. The cottages have no a/c, but ceiling fans or box fans provided – temperature isn’t usually a problem at this season. Some cottages have shared bathrooms and a small living room with small refrigerator.  There are plentiful rocking chairs overlooking the lake.

 Although you may not want to leave the inspiring and soothing Kanuga grounds, you might want to venture out. Very nearby are the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site, Flat Rock Playhouse and historic downtown Hendersonville, arts & crafts, and antiques. A little further are the Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville, Pisgah National Forest and lovely golf courses.
