UMMAS is Unity Ministers of the Mid-Atlantic States
We are a voluntary association of Unity ministers, spiritual leaders, and their spouses/partners in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama.
UMMAS is a non-profit corporation supported by tithes and offerings from individuals and from member Unity spiritual centers. We are fully able to gratefully receive tax-deductible donations from individuals and organizations. Visit our Donate page to make a contribution.
What we do
Meetings
We meet three times a year for networking, brainstorming, personal support, fellowship, mentoring, and planning our events. Our meetings are held the first Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in February and May, and during the annual retreat in September.
Financial Support
UMMAS funds grants and scholarships to future spiritual leaders from active member churches and provides financial assistance to active UMMAS members. See our Grants and Scholarship Guidelines for details.
Leadership Training
Each year in July we offer a 2-day Leadership Training and Networking Session for board members, ministers, and lay leaders from our spiritual centers.
Annual Retreat
We produce an annual spiritual retreat in September. Historically this has been held at the Kanuga Conference Center near Hendersonville, NC and in 2022 the retreat was relocated to Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center in North Carolina.
This retreat is open to anyone who has the desire to experience inspiration, renewal and transformation. You don’t need to be a minister or UMMAS member to attend our yearly retreat – everyone is welcome! Visit unityretreat.us for more information.
