Anyone serving in church leadership or on the Board of Trustees will benefit from this comprehensive workshop.

Session 3 @1:15 PM
How to Talk Good with Rev Mike Davis
Public Speaking for People Who Don’t Do Public Speaking
Are you a board member, platform leader or prayer chaplain? Are you sometimes called upon to speak from the platform or in meetings, even though you’re not a professional presenter?
Not everyone has spent a lifetime developing the skills and techniques involved in public speaking, but they are absolutely learnable. In this workshop, we’all work and practice together to build confidence, effectiveness and clarity in our communications.
Just think about how it would move all our churches forward if every single person who spoke stepped up their game by even a little bit. Let’s do this!
Session 4
Ethics with Rev Beth Head
What is an Ethics Violation?
Let’s be clear: what is an ethics violation? What happens when someone is charged with an ethics violation? We will discuss some common ways that people err into ethics violations. This applies to every credentialed leader, ministries/churches and the ministry/church leadership.
Rev. Beth Head is an ordained Unity Minister, graduating from the Unity School of Religious Studies, Unity Village, MO. On February 28, 2019, she retired as minister of Unity of Melbourne in Melbourne, FL, where she served 20 years. She currently serves the Southeast Region Unity Ministries as Regional Representative and Church Consultant. She hosts a meeting for churches on Wednesday morning on zoom. She does board training and consults with churches with various churches.
Before ministry, Beth was a CPA.
Beth was the Chief Financial Officer of the Triangle Community Foundation and before that the Controller of the Anchorage Daily News. Beth lives in Melbourne with her husband Gerald and they enjoy traveling. Beth loves reading, playing cards and chocolate.
Rev Robin Volker is an ordained Unity minister. She has served as senior minister in churches in Ohio and Georgia. Currently, she serves as guest speaker, teacher, spiritual coach, and mentor. Robin also serves as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees for the Southeast Unity Region.
Rev Mike Davis is a life-long musician, life-long learner, and life-long lover of God and people.
In a wondrous example of Divine appointment, he heard the call to ministry just as Unity Church of the Mountains was searching for a minister. As Ministry Coordinator, Mike leads with a servant’s heart and a sense of humor. He is currently following the Special Dispensation path toward ordination.
Mike is committed to our community’s spiritual growth and joyful enfoldment. Mike currently serves as Vice President of UMMAS.
