Our February 2020 Meeting

Our next meeting is being held at the St. Christopher Retreat Center on Seabrook Island south of Charleston, SC. We had such a great time here in 2019 that we decided to come back!

The dates for our meeting are Monday afternoon, February 3 through Wednesday, February 5 at noon.

The cost for a single room is $215 and a double room is $315. This covers lodging for Monday and Tuesday night, and meals from Monday dinner through Wednesday breakfast.

Arrival time is Monday 3 PM. We must be out of our rooms on Wednesday morning by 10 AM. We have our meetings space until 1 PM on Wednesday.

Contact Dale Worley at minister@unitysavannah.org by Tuesday, December 17 to reserve your room. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required. (This is $100 per room, regardless of whether you want a single or double room.) Checks may be made payable to “UMMAS” and mailed c/o Susan Torres, 309 Intrepid Court, Greer, SC 29650, or you can use our PayPal link.

Yoga Requests at St. Christopher

  • Please know that here at St. Christopher we have made a decision not to host any yoga events. In that yoga has its origins in eastern religious practices, we see it as incompatible with our Christian mission of Gospel proclamation. While recognizing that yoga has been embraced by many within Christian communities and that it can be utilized as an exercise with a Christian focus, many of the yoga groups that have contacted us do not do this, and have wanted to include teachings that are in conflict with why St. Christopher exists. In our efforts to be consistent, and to not fuel perceptions that easily lead to confusion and contradiction, we simply do not host any yoga events and ask that no group include yoga events during their time at St. Christopher. Thank you for understanding .
